Endosteal Implants

Known as “screw-in teeth”

These are artificial substitutes of the root, usually made from titanium, that are placed surgically on the jawbone.  This is achieved either through a simple surgical procedure, or by combining various grafting techniques.  In some cases, bone grafting may be required to optimize the success of the osseointegration.

Advantages of dental implants

  • Comfort
  • Improved chewing ability
  • Increased self-confidence as dental implants operate to a significant degree similarly to natural teeth.
  • No drilling of nearby teeth necessary, as required in bridges.
  • Retention of bone in the area that they are placed.
